It is a priority of the SGP to engage disabled people (children & adults) in the game of golf.
‘Feel Inspired’ is encouraging disabled people into golf by providing opportunities to play at a range of venues in the South East.
The EGU and EWGA with direct support from the PGA, is hoping that the 'Feel Inspired' initiative will encourage people to try the game of golf, and for clubs and coaches to widen their welcome to as many people as possible to experience golf and continue to play.
Funding has been secured so each County Golf Partnership can engage with local disability groups and individuals to provide coaching by PGA professionals.
In Sussex there are now 15 'Feel Inspired' Centres, with PGA Professionals at each venue having undertaken a ‘Disability Awareness Training’ session.
To find out where your nearest Feel Inspired centre and speacialist disability coach are located, please e-mail cdo2@sussexgolfpartnership.org

The Disabled Golf Society
The Disabled Golf Society are everyday people who happen to have disabilities or have become disabled - ranging from amputees, heart/stroke survivors, cerebral palsy, learning difficulties, MS, arthritus, parkinson's, blind, partially sighted and deaf.
Having secured funding through the 'short break' programme, the Disabled Golf Society wish to encourage more disabled players to be introduced to the game of golf through taster sessions throughout the country.
A very high percentage of members are also users of the Motability scheme and have conditions that require adaptations on the move or at home.
With over 500 members and 21 competition events in 2011, the Society is a great club for disabled golfers of all abilities. There are already earmarked events all over the country for 2012 (see www.disabledgolfsociety.com) for details.
Your point of contact for all information relating to the South East is: Graeme Robertson, 0118 9790193.
